While Apple is getting ready to introduce its iPhone 14 series later this year, we have previously reported on speculations surrounding the iPhone 15 that will debut the following year. There may be some parallels between the iPhone lineups for 2022 and 2023, according to a recent report.

According to the most recent report, which comes from Omdia (via PhoneArena), the iPhone 15 range will have comparable display specifications as the upcoming iPhone 14 series. According to reports, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 will both feature the same size display. Additionally, it is said that the iPhone 15 will include a pill-shaped display with the identical twin punch hole type cutout.

In case you were unaware, the iPhone 14 Pro series is anticipated to finally do away with its pronounced notch on the front in favour of two cutouts for the FaceID sensors and the selfie camera. It also indicates that the front design of the iPhone 15 range will be similar. Unlike the iPhone 14 series, this will noticeably have basic models that are less expensive. Furthermore, according to this rumour, the Cupertino-based company would continue to produce iPhones with the same display sizes for the next two years.

It's interesting to note that the Omdia analysis also stated that Apple is lagging behind competing smartphone brands in terms of front-facing cameras and FaceID technology. These features will probably launch around the time of the iPhone 16 range. Remember that the iPhone 15 is still a ways out from being on sale, so for the time being, take this story with a grain of salt.
