Samsung Galaxy S22 handsets, including the S22+ and S22 Ultra, are now the first phones in the world to offer Voice over 5G. (Vo5G). Zain, a Kuwaiti mobile telecommunications provider, has announced the debut of the first voice over 5G services, which are now only available on Samsung's Galaxy S22 series of smartphones.
While 5G Internet services are becoming more common, 5G voice calls are still uncommon. In reality, Zain is the world's first telecom provider to offer Vo5G services in Kuwait, with statewide coverage (Via Telecompaper). Customers who possess one of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 handsets, however, will be able to use the service. Other 5G devices are anticipated to receive it soon.
Improved speech and video calling quality, new voice and communication services, simultaneous voice conversations, and 5G data services are just a few of the advantages of 5G voice.
According to Zain, the service's commercial debut follows extensive testing to assess the network's preparedness and technical capabilities to deliver this service at the highest level across the country.
In other developments, Samsung overtook Apple as the biggest tablet provider in India in the first quarter of 2022. The company's revenues increased dramatically. During the quarter, it accounted for 40% of overall tablet shipment volumes in India. In addition, the business was able to ship a considerable number of Galaxy A8 series tablets, as well as the premium Galaxy Tab S8 series, which debuted in March of this year.
