Zepp's last self-branded fitness tracker, the Amazfit Band 5, was released in the second part of 2020. It's a pro version of the Xiaomi Band 5, since it's identical to the Xiaomi-branded wearable but has a few more capabilities. The Xiaomi Band 7 was recently released in China. It is expected to enter worldwide markets in the near future. In the meantime, according to a rumour from Logger (via Xiaomiui), Zepp may soon produce its own fitness tracker. The forthcoming Amazfit Band, unlike the Amazfit Band 5, which is based on the Xiaomi Band 5, will not be identical to the Xiaomi Band 7. This product, codenamed Bari, will most likely have the model numbers A2177 (normal) and A2283 (high-end) (NFC). A rectangular display with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels is expected. Most notably, a 232mAh battery will power it, which is larger than the 180mAh and 200mAh batteries found in the Xiaomi Band 7 and Redmi Smart Band Pro, respectively. It will come with the new Zepp OS as far as software is concerned. Finally, it will include GPS and pin unlocking capabilities. At this time, the marketing name for this next Amazfit Band is unknown. More information may become available in the coming days.Amazfit-branded smartwatches and Xiaomi Mi Bands are popular among Zepp (previously Huami) customers. Few people are aware that the company also sells the Amazfit Band, which is an Amazfit-branded fitness tracker. After nearly two years, this product series may get a new model.
