Three Samsung smartwatches are revealed in FCC documents: the SM-R900, SM-R910, and SM-R920. The 40mm and 44mm versions of the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 are the first two, while the Watch5 Pro is the third.
The wireless charger that was tested in the lab is rated at 10W, which is interesting (5V at 2A). The Watch4 (and previous) generations used 5W chargers, implying that the new models will charge more quickly (in our tests the Galaxy Watch4 needed about an hour and a half). It's worth noting that this is the input rating; the charger's output may still be limited to 5W.
The Galaxy Watch5 will have 276mAh and 397mAh batteries in the 40mm and 44mm models, respectively, and the Watch5 Pro will have an even larger 572mAh battery.
The Pro model, according to Ice Universe, will not have a rotating bezel. The leakster also expressed dissatisfaction with the design, claiming that there will be a small bezel around the display that will be visible because it does not match the colour of the active area.
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5GHz, b/g/n), and NFC are all included in the watches. LTE-enabled versions of the watches should also be available. As the watches approach their August release date, more information should become available.
