The entry-level iPads from Apple are excellent products, and they are the company's most popular tablet. They're great for someone looking for a good mix of features and price. The latest low-cost iPads include an A13 Bionic processor, a great front-facing camera, and other features. However, according to reports, Apple is working on a redesign of the low-cost entry-level iPad that will boost the device's feature set.

According to 9to5mac, Apple is going to enhance its entry-level iPad with a number of features that will bring it up to par with the rest of the iPad lineup. According to the rumour, the 2022 iPad, codenamed J272, would include a USB-C connector instead of a Lightning port.

According to the report, Apple plans to equip the entry-level iPad with the A14 Bionic processor seen in the fourth-generation iPad Air. When compared to the A13 Bionic chip found in the current entry-level iPad, the A14 chip provides around 30% more performance. Apple will also make cellular phones with 5G network capability.

According to the rumour, the next entry-level iPad will have a Retina display with the same resolution as the iPad Air, but instead of the current model's 10.2-inch LCD, it may have a 10.5-inch or even 10.9-inch display. However, more sophisticated display specs, such as DCI-P3 colour gamut and enhanced brightness, will be reserved for more priced iPads.
