ZTE unveiled its next-generation Axon series flagship smartphones, the ZTE Axon 40, just a few days ago. The ZTE Axon 40 Pro smartphone is now available for purchase in China.
The model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs 2,998 yuan ($450), while the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs 3,298 yuan ($495). The top-of-the-line model, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, costs 3,798 yuan, or approximately $570.
The ZTE Axon 40 Pro has a 6.67-inch flexible curved AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution and 10-bit colour depth. It has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz, and a peak brightness level of 1000 nits.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 engine lies at the heart of the gadget, together with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. A graphene-based cooling (thermal management) mechanism is included in the handset.
The back of the camera has a quad-camera configuration. It has a 1/1.52-inch 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP 4cm macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP front-facing camera is available for selfies and video calls.
The ZTE Axon 40 Pro smartphone comes preloaded with the Android 12 operating system and the MyOS 12 custom user interface. A 5,000mAh battery powers the device, which also supports 66W fast charging.
