According to reports, WhatsApp is working on a new feature.

It could appear in a future update.

This month, WhatsApp reactions began to appear.

Emoji reactions were introduced to WhatsApp earlier this month. Users can utilise six different emojis to communicate their sentiments about a communication with this feature. The messaging service is now said to be working on a new feature that would allow users to get comprehensive reaction information for automatic albums without having to open them. The Meta-owned instant messaging app's move would provide a media thumbnail with precise message reaction data. Users must currently view the album and scroll through each photograph to learn about the reactions. WhatsApp, on the other hand, has yet to confirm the new feature's development.

According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp features tracker, customers will soon be able to see which photograph in an album has received which reaction without having to open it. It is currently not possible to see which media has received a reaction when a person shares reactions to an image in an automatic album without first accessing the album. The feature is still being developed, therefore beta testers won't be able to use it. A screenshot of the new option is included in the report, providing customers an idea of how the function would appear once it is implemented. A new media thumbnail with extensive reaction information may be seen in the screenshot.

WhatsApp began rolling out emoji replies to all users in May, allowing them to rapidly send comments to specific messages using six emojis. WhatsApp's sister companies Instagram and Messenger already have the feature. WhatsApp users will be able to express emotions such as like, love, laugh, surprise, and grief via reactions, and thanks to their messages.

Aside from reactions, the firm is focusing on new methods to improve the platform's group messaging experience. It is rumoured that it is working on a new feature that will allow users to see previous members of their groups. Users will be able to keep track of members who have previously departed a WhatsApp group using the feature.
