In February, Oppo announced the Reno 7 5G in India. The smartphone debuted with Android 11-based ColorOS 12 despite being released in the second month of 2022. The Android 12 beta programme has already been launched three months after its first release.

Oppo said earlier this month that it will begin Android 12 beta testing for the Oppo Reno 7 5G in India on May 18. However, the firm has already begun accepting registrations (May 16).

For the uninitiated, Oppo is known for launching ColorOS beta programmes for select smartphones ahead of schedule. As a result, we're not shocked to find that Reno 7 5G customers in India have two days to register for the programme.

The device must be running firmware version A.14 in order to enrol. This is the only stipulation. However, the company has only allocated 5,000 tickets, and the registration period ends on May 23.

Users must go to Settings > Software Update > Gear Icon > Apply for Beta version > Update Beta Version and follow the on-screen steps to register. Those that are chosen will receive the Android 12 beta build via OTA in three days.

Oppo has not yet announced a date for the stable release. In any case, based on the company's previous software rollout history, Android 12 stable will most likely arrive in India in a month or two.
