Nothing revealed a few more details about its future smartphone, the Nothing phone (1), yesterday, including that it would have a transparent back, wireless charging capability, and a recycled metal frame.

However, the business has yet to say when the announcement of the Nothing phone (1) would take place. A recent leak from Germany claims that the device will be released on July 21. It's unclear whether that's the start date for sales or the unveiling date, but either way, it'll be a big day for Nothing and its smartphone ambitions.

What's even more intriguing is the handset's newly speculated price point of roughly €500. With high-end smartphones becoming more and more expensive every year, we immediately assume that the Nothing phone (1) will not be a full-fledged flagship at such a low price. Perhaps a "flagship killer" from one of the brains behind the original "flagship killer," the OnePlus One, is in order?

Of course, we're talking about Nothing founder Carl Pei, who was previously a co-founder of OnePlus. It wouldn't be strange if he sought to apply the same formula for new startup as he did for his last one, but keep in mind that this is all rumoured information at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt.

However, Pei has stated that the Nothing phone (1) will be released this summer, and July is one of the summer months, so... we'll have to wait and see what happens. And while we're waiting, perhaps someone wants to leak a real-life image of the device? It's strange that we're so close to the debut and there haven't been any leaked renders.
