According to reports, iQOO is working on a new Chinese edition of the iQOO Z5. The Chinese manufacturer has yet to confirm its arrival, but rumours are circulating that it will arrive in the coming days. Bald is Panda, a Chinese tipster, claims that the upcoming iQOO Z5 will be similar to the Vivo T2x, which was just released in China.

The difference between the Vivo T2x and the rumoured iQOO Z5 6,000mAh battery edition, according to the tipster, is that the former has a waterdrop notch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. As a result, it appears that the iQOO phone will have a punch-hole display. It's unclear whether it, like the T2x, supports a 144Hz refresh rate.

Other specifications for the upcoming iQOO Z5 could be borrowed from the Vivo T2x, according to the leak. The T2x features the Dimensity 1300 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of native storage for those who are unfamiliar.

The T2x has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. It is powered by a 6,000mAh battery with 44W rapid charging support. It starts up with the Android 12 operating system and OriginOS 2.0.

The T2x has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel macro snapper on the back camera island. A 16-megapixel front camera is included for selfies. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner for added security.

There's no word on how much the iQOO Z5 6,000mAh battery edition will cost. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variants of the T2x are priced at 1,599 Yuan ($240) and 1,799 Yuan ($270), respectively.
