Sharp, a Foxconn-owned business known for producing electronic devices, offers a smartphone portfolio. Along with the Sharp Aquos R7 flagship smartphone, the Sharp Aquos Wish 2 affordable smartphone was released today.

Both smartphones have already been released in Japan. The Sharp Aquos Wish 2 is, as the name suggests, the sequel to the Aquos Wish, which was released in December of last year.

The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. There are also substantial bezels surrounding the screen, particularly at the bottom.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 CPU powers the gadget, which is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. A microSD card may also be used to enhance the storage space up to 1TB.

In terms of cameras, the phone boasts a 13-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and an 8-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies and video calls.

It ships with the Android operating system and the company's own bespoke user interface on top. The gadget is powered by a 3,730mAh battery and has PD 3.0 compatibility for rapid charging.

The business has also said that it is concerned with environmental conservation, and the Sharp Aquos Wish 2 smartphone is manufactured from recycled components. The shell is made of 35% recycled plastic, according to the manufacturer.

The phone is waterproof and dustproof, and it comes in four different colors: white, gray, blue, and coral. It will be available for purchase in Japan beginning next month, although pricing information is currently unavailable.
