Last month, we learnt that Samsung will forego the Galaxy Watch 5 Classic this year in favor of a Pro model. The brand, however, has not officially confirmed this. The codename for the next Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series has surfaced on the Internet today, revealing the existence of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
GalaxyClub found the codenames for the next Galaxy Watch 5 series. The wristwatch is known by three separate codenames: "Heart-S," "Heart-L," and "Heart Pro."
The Heart-S codename is reported to be related with the tiny variant (SM-R90x) of the Galaxy Watch 5 with a size of 40 or 42mm. The Heart-L is associated with the 44mm or 46mm mid variant (SM-R91x) of the watch.
Finally, the Heart-Pro is linked to the larger (SM-R92x) variant, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (or could be called the Galaxy Watch 5 Ultra). The size of the Pro/Ultra is unclear, although the smartwatch's footprint will be larger than usual.
Previously, the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 or the Heart-S was announced. The smartwatch is claimed to have a larger 276mAh battery. This is significantly more than the 247mAh found in the 40mm Galaxy Watch 4.
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, or Heart-Pro, on the other hand, will have a 572mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the 361mAh cell found within the 44mm Galaxy Watch 4.
