Realme announced last month that it would give Realme 9i users early access to the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 in May, and the company has kept its word, announcing the Realme UI 3.0 early access programme for the Snapdragon 680-powered smartphone.

Users of the Realme 9i can join the Realme UI 3.0 early access programme by going to Settings > Software Update, tapping on Trial version > Apply Now, and filling out the required information. You will be notified if your application has been accepted.

However, keep in mind that there are only 1,000 slots available, so if you can't wait to try out Android 12 and Realme UI 3.0 on your Realme 9i, you'll want to hurry. It's also worth noting that early access software frequently contains bugs that can degrade the user experience, so it's best to avoid installing it on your main device.

If you still want early access, make sure you have at least 60% battery and 10GB of storage on your Realme 9i before installing the update. A stable version of Realme UI with build numbers RMX3491 11.A.13 or RMX3491 11.A.14 should also be installed on the phone.

Realme also announced the Realme UI 3.0 open beta programme for the Realme 8i, in addition to the Realme UI 3.0 early access programme for the Realme 9i. Participating in the open beta programme follows the same steps as 9i's early access programme. The 8i, on the other hand, must have 5GB of storage instead of 10GB, and the battery must be at least 60% charged.

According to Realme, the open beta version will be selected as the stable version and rolled out to all users with no changes. Those who have already signed up for the Realme UI 3.0 early access programme for the 8i don't need to apply for the open beta because they will receive the open beta build later.
