According to recent speculations, Samsung is working on the next generation of its Exynos mobile processors. A recent source has disclosed the internal codename and model number for the company's future flagship processor.
The new chipset will be based on the 3nm GAA production process and will include the latest ARM CPU cores, according to the tipster. It will apparently be based on AMD's newest Radeon GPU, as well as the upgraded Xclipse GPU. The chipset's mass production could start later this year, which would coincide with the debut of Samsung's next flagship Exynos CPU. There have also been suggestions that Samsung may stop using Exynos CPUs in its flagship Galaxy S series smartphones for the next two years.
The reason for this decision appears to be throttling concerns and poor performance when compared to Qualcomm and its Snapdragon CPUs. It's been said that Samsung has formed a team of 1,000 employees tasked with designing a new bespoke semiconductor from the ground up, which might be utilised in the Galaxy S25 in 2025. So keep an eye out for more information.
