On May 17, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition, also known as the Speed Edition, will be released in China. OnePlus China CEO Li Jie Louis announced some of the main characteristics of this new smartphone only a few days before its debut, on May 14. He has confirmed that the Ace Racing Edition will include a 120Hz variable refresh rate LCD panel. It will also be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC. This device appears to be inspired by the OnePlus 10 Pro, and it will be available in blue and grey.

Li Jie made the announcement on his official Weibo account. It indicates that the next OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will include an LCD screen with six levels of variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, as we previously reported. He further claims that this OnePlus smartphone would be able to automatically modify the refresh rate based on what is displayed on the screen in order to improve battery life. This phone will also include a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC.

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is expected to boast a 6.59-inch full-HD+ display, according to previous sources. It is expected to include up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is rumoured to have a triple rear camera configuration with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, there could be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. This device is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with quick charging capabilities.
