Motorola has revealed that a new smartphone would be released in China in July. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is reported to power this Motorola smartphone, which will have a 200-megapixel camera. It could be the Lenovo-owned company's next flagship model, which is rumoured to be called the Motorola Edge X30 Pro in China. The phone could be released under the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra brand in various regions. According to previous rumours, Motorola's future smartphone will have a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor.
By posting teasers on Weibo, Motorola has confirmed the debut of a new smartphone in China in July. According to the photos, the forthcoming smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and would have a 200-megapixel camera. As previously stated, the forthcoming smartphone could be marketed in China as the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and in other markets as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
Specifications for the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (rumoured)
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is said to have a 6.67-inch HD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The Dual-SIM smartphone is expected to ship with Android 12 pre-installed and will be available in two RAM and storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB.
The 200-megapixel rear camera, which is reported to employ the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor, will be the phone's showpiece. This sensor is also expected to be featured in Samsung's future Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is expected to have a triple rear camera system with two 50-megapixel cameras and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
