Vivo released the Vivo X80 Pro alongside the Vivo X80 in China last week. The smartphone is available with two different chipsets: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. The previous model was released at the end of last week. The latter type is now available in the company's native market as well.
Except for the chipset, the Vivo X80 Pro Dimensity Edition is identical to the Vivo X80 Pro Snapdragon Edition. The Oppo Find X5 Pro's Dimensiy Edition, on the other hand, is missing out on features like the in-house MariSilicon X image processing silicon, 5-axis OIS, and Hasselblad tuning.
The Dimensity Edition of the Vivo X80 Pro retains all of the features of the Snapdragon Edition, including the Vivo V1+ ISP chip. Vivo also charges the same pricing for both versions, unlike Oppo. In the instance of Oppo, the Mediatek model is less expensive.
The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB memory options of the Vivo X80 Pro Dimensity Edition are priced at $5,999 ($907) and $6,699 ($1,013), respectively. It does not yet come in an 8GB + 256GB configuration like the Snapdragon Edition.
The Vivo X80 series will be available in international markets beginning May 8. On May 18, it will also be released in India. It is currently unknown whether the Vivo X80 Pro Dimensity Edition will be available globally.
