Google released the Pixel Buds, the world's first completely wireless earbuds, in 2020. And now, according to a fresh source, a Pro model is in the works and might be released soon.
For those who are unaware, this will be Google's third TWS earbuds offering, following the somewhat more cheap Pixel Buds A Series. With a new Pixel Buds Pro, the company appears to be attempting to compete with market titans like Apple and Sony in the area. The information comes from well-known leaker Jon Prosser, who claims that Google is getting ready to release the updated Pixel Buds Pro.
According to Prosser, the new wireless earphones will be released soon and will come in a variety of colours. There are four colour options: Real Red, Carbon, Limoncello, and Fog. Unfortunately, the tipster did not provide any additional information about this product aside from this. However, Mishaal Rahman responded to Prosser's tweet with new information about the Pixel Buds Pro. The TWS earphones are rumoured to enable spatial audio and head tracking.
These two capabilities were reportedly hinted at in some of the Android 13 code. With Android supporting Bluetooth Low Energy audio, the Pixel Buds Pro may be able to take advantage of this capability as well. Keep in mind that none of these details have been validated, and Google has yet to acknowledge that such a device exists. So stay tuned for additional information.
