Google I/O is quickly approaching, and there have been several leaks and speculations surrounding the release of different devices, including the Pixel 6a. Google's new Pixel might be unveiled during the I/O event. However, only days before the likely launch, a tipter has reported that a Pixel smartphone, probably the Pixel 6a, is being tested privately in India.


Mukul Sharma revealed on Twitter that an unnamed Google Pixel smartphone is being tested privately in India. The source is unsure of the device's name, but he believes it is the Google Pixel 6a.

Google Pixel 6a Specifications (Rumored)

For security, the Google Pixel 6a is believed to include a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The gadget will most likely be powered by Google's in-house Tensor processor. The device might include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

In terms of battery capacity, the Google Pixel 6a is believed to include a 4,500mAh battery with support for 20W+ fast charging. In terms of software, the smartphone will ship with Android 12. It is also stated that the device would have face recognition.

Previous certification listings indicate that the Google Pixel 6a will be available in four variants: GX7AS, GB17L, G1AZG, and GB62Z. More information about these may be disclosed during the next Google I/O event on May 11 and 12.
