Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a Rs. 87 prepaid recharge package for its customers, which includes 1GB of high-speed daily broadband access and 14 days of unlimited phone calling. The new BSNL prepaid plan is accessible to all of the state-owned telecom operator's prepaid customers. Along with broadband and telephony privileges, the Rs. 87 prepaid package includes 100 SMS messages every day. It is also integrated with a gambling service run by One97 Communications, the parent firm of Paytm.

The Rs. 87 prepaid recharge package is available on the BSNL website. It provides 1GB of high-speed internet access, and after that, data access reduces to 40Kbps. The new package also includes unlimited local and STD phone calling inside the home, local service area, and national roaming, including access to the MTNL network in Mumbai and Delhi. Furthermore, BSNL provides 100 SMS messages each day. All of these advantages are available for a period of 14 days.

In addition to the standard set of perks, the Rs. 87 BSNL plan includes access to One97 Communications' Hardy Mobile Games service, which allows users to play games from genres like as sports, casual, and arcade.

BSNL verified to Gadgets 360 that the Rs. 87 prepaid recharge plan is accessible to all BSNL prepaid users across the country. Telecom Talk was the first to report about the initiative.

Earlier this year, BSNL released the Rs. 797 prepaid recharge package for its consumers, which has a validity period of up to 395 days. For the first two months of its recharge, it provided 2GB of high-speed daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS messages.

BSNL claims to provide high-speed data allocation through its prepaid plans, however the operator has failed to update customer experience to 4G across the country. It is, however, in the process of establishing a 4G network throughout the country. During a Rajya Sabha Question Hour in March, Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan stated that BSNL's 4G service will be available by the end of the year.
