OnePlus has released the Android 12 open beta for the first OnePlus Nord. The phone came pre-installed with Android 10, and according to OnePlus' two-year update policy, Android 12 will be the phone's final software upgrade, unless the company decides to extend it later.
Some of the significant enhancements in the OnePlus Nord's Oxygen OS 12 open beta include a new battery-saving function, support for configurable dark mode settings, new gallery gestures, and more, according to OnePlus' forum post. All of the usual Android 12 features are also included in the version.
The complete changelog is available below, along with several known difficulties with the beta program.
Meanwhile, OnePlus Nord 2 owners will have to wait a bit longer for the Android 12 open beta release. The business just announced a closed beta testing program for the phone, so the public beta build may take some time to arrive.
