While it has already been confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be available in the Indian market soon, the company has yet to provide an official release date. Our previous reports had hinted at an impending launch, but the date has now been confirmed.
According to the Chinese tech giant's official website, the highly anticipated Xiaomi 12 Pro will be released in India on April 27th, 2022. On the official teaser, the brand refers to its upcoming device as the "Showstopper." While this model has been available in China for some time, it is finally making its way to India, a key market for the brand. In other words, the smartphone will succeed last year's Mi 11 Ultra as India's latest flagship model. In a subsequent tweet, the company stated, "The flagship of the is coming home – Xiaomi12Pro 5G is launching on 27.04.22!"
When it comes to the smartphone itself, the high-end Xiaomi flagship will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. As a result, it will compete directly with other premium offerings from its rival brands. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, as well as the OnePlus 10 Pro and other devices. Users will most likely have storage configurations that include up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage for memory. It will have a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1500 nits on the front.
This panel also has a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. Meanwhile, the rear camera setup consists of a 50 megapixel Sony IMX707 sensor paired with two additional 50 megapixel sensors for the portrait lens and the ultra wide angle sensor.
