Following the announcement of new voice note features in a future version of WhatsApp that will be accessible to all users shortly, WhatsApp is now enabling additional limits when sending forwarded messages to other group conversations on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.
In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.7.2 update last month, WhatsApp included a new restriction when forwarding messages: the new restriction restricts users from sending forwarded messages to more than one group conversation. Today, WhatsApp is imposing the same restriction on the most recent versions of WhatsApp for iOS:
As seen in this screenshot, it is no longer allowed to transmit forwarded messages to more than one group chat at a time, which is another measure to reduce spam and disinformation. The new rules for forwarding communications only apply to messages that have already been forwarded.
The new restriction has already been sent out to certain Android beta testers, but WhatsApp is now allowing the same restriction to additional users who install the current WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.8.11 update, and more individuals will receive the same adjustments in the coming weeks.
