If you've ever rooted your smartphone, you've probably come across something called "XPosed Framework." LSPosed Manager is an option in Android 9 and later. However, many individuals have no idea what it is used for. In this article, we'll go through exactly what it is and how to install it.
Xposed Framework
It wasn't like Magisk back when there was no Magisk and we had to rely on SuperSU, KingRoot, and other tools. You couldn't easily flash modules to change the appearance or behavior of your Android. That's where the Xposed Framework comes in. It was a framework tweak that let the user to install Xposed modules to personalize the system anyway they saw fit. However, when Magisk grew more popular and improved with successive Android versions, Xposed gradually became obsolete as developers stopped updating it following the release of Magisk. As a result, Xposed modules disappeared and were forgotten until LSPosed came along.
LSPosed Manager
As previously said, this is where LSPosed management comes into play. It was essentially the same as the Xposed Framework, but with support for higher Android versions and active development, while still allowing you to install Xposed modules as previously. The main disadvantage is that it lacks an online shop as Xposed did, therefore you must search the internet for modules that fit you. We did provide an example of how to utilize a module using LSPosed. Having said that, we will also provide instructions on how to install it along with the post.
Installation of LSPosed
You need a device that is rooted using Magisk for this.
- Open Magisk and go to modules. Tap search button in right-down corner.
- Search for “Riru”, and install it. Do not reboot yet.
- Search for LSPosed, and install it.
- Now reboot the device.
That’s it! You have LSPosed installed in your device.
Don't worry, if you're running Magisk v24 and don't have the magisk repo, which prevents you from searching for modules, we've provided the necessary files. Please see the "Downloads" section of this article.
If you are running Magisk v24, please enable Zygisk in options and install the LSPosed Zygisk variant rather than the Riru one.
LSPosed Bugs and Fixes
Like other products, this mod can have some bugs.
Error: post_data_fs.sh failed to run
The whole error message is "post data fs.sh failed to run." This device's Magisk is broken."
There is no solution if you receive this error. It is largely connected to the device's kernel and boot section. Try flashing a stock kernel, or flashing the current rom without doing anything extra, such as flashing a kernel over it. Aside from that, there is no way to correct this problem.
