The Vivo X80 series is scheduled to be released very soon. The business is apparently going to introduce the new smartphones in China later this month, but before they do, a fresh rumor has appeared that outlines some of its important specs.

We previously reported on a Geekbench listing for a smartphone with the model number V2145. This device was thought to be the Vivo X80 Pro+, which was equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC on the benchmarking platform. However, Digital Chat Station, a well-known Weibo tipster, believes that the lineup will be powered by MediaTek's latest and finest Dimensity 9000 CPUs.

As of now, it's unclear if the top-tier X80 Pro+ model would be the only one with the premium Qualcomm processor. However, the tipster also posted a picture on the Chinese microblogging website that showed the gadget running on a Dimensity 9000 SoC as well as a proprietary image processing processor. This imaging processor was supposedly built in-house and is a flagship grade bespoke image chip that will improve photos on incoming smartphones.

According to Digital Chat Station, this unique chip will significantly increase the quantity of light that reaches the sensor. He also expects that the Vivo X80 Pro series would use a proprietary ISP + RGBW sensor with a big f/1.57 aperture. Unfortunately, this is the only information he has about this item at the present. However, bear in mind that this is still an unverified claim, so take it with a grain of salt for the time being and stay tuned for additional information.
