The Vivo X80 Series will be released in China on April 25, according to a post on Weibo by the Chinese business. Vivo also teased a quad rear camera arrangement with Carl Zeiss optics and an orange color option in a short video clip posted on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+ are reported to be the three variants in the smartphone series. At least one of them will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.

Vivo X80 series launch


According to a Weibo post, the Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+ smartphones will be unveiled on April 25 at a 7 p.m. CST event (4.30pm IST). According to the video, at least one smartphone in the series, the Vivo X80 Pro+, would have a quad rear camera system.

The teaser for the new Vivo smartphone is now available for pre-order in China. A smartphone with a huge rectangular module is seen in a picture released on the pre-ordering page. A tiny circular portion within the big module has three lenses and a Carl Zeiss logo. On the bottom left, there appears to be a fourth lens, and a pill-shaped LED flash to the right of the circular region. The display on the front of this forthcoming model has a centrally aligned cutout for the front camera.

According to previous reports, the Vivo X80 Pro+ would include a 50-megapixel GN1 main sensor, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598-based ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel portrait sensor, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This smartphone might include a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

According to another recent source, the Vivo X80 series smartphones would be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series SoCs. The models have purportedly been found on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, implying that a launch in India is also on the horizon.
