 In Malaysia, Vivo has unveiled two new T-series smartphones. The first is the Vivo T1x 4G, which includes a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 680, and triple 50-megapixel cameras. The Vivo T1 5G is the second T-branded phone to become available in Malaysia.


Vivo will launch the Snapdragon 778G-powered Vivo T1 5G in China in October 2021. The Vivo T1 5G with Snapdragon 695 was introduced in India in February 2022. In Malaysia, it has now revealed a new Vivo T1 5G with Snapdragon 778G onboard. Doesn't it seem perplexing? All three are distinct phones that have the same name.

Vivo T1 5G specifications and features



The Vivo T1 5G boasts a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ teardrop notch display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a brightness of 1,300 nits, and HDR10+ compatibility. It has a fingerprint scanner built into the screen. The Snapdragon 778G-powered device has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The device is powered by Android 12 with FunTouch OS on top. The front-facing camera of the Vivo T1 5G is 16 megapixels. It contains a primary camera with 64 megapixels, an ultrawide lens with 8 megapixels, and a macro snapper with 2 megapixels. It sports a 4,700mAh battery with 66W rapid charging capabilities. This phone seems to be relaunched as the Vivo T1 Pro 5G in India soon.

Vivo T1 5G pricing and availability


The Vivo T1 5G costs MYR 1,299 (about $300). The smartphone is available in two colors: Turbo Black and Turbo Cyan.

The Vivo T1 5G that has landed in Malaysia is not the same as the Chinese counterpart. The latter has a 6.67-inch LCD FHD+ 120Hz punch-hole screen, a Snapdragon 778G CPU, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 5,000mAh battery, 44W fast charging, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a triple camera unit with 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel resolution.
