Vivo debuted the X80 series, which includes the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro, just a few days ago in China. It appears that the firm will not wait for the hype around the debut to die down before releasing the model to the worldwide market.

The Vivo X80 series will be released for the worldwide market on May 8, according to a teaser poster provided on the Vivo Malaysia Twitter page. The event, which is being touted as an online launch event, will begin at 3 p.m. local time.

The motto "X-tion with Speed" appears on the advertising poster, referring to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that will power the X80 Pro and the Dimensity 9000 SoC that will power the X80.

The Vivo X80 series, as previously mentioned, has a huge rectangular camera island on the rear that houses a triple camera array. The cameras are grouped in a circular module emblazoned with the ZEISS logo. The gadget has a curved 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W rapid charging. The gadget also runs OriginOS Ocean, which is based on Android 12. NFC, HiFi audio compatibility, an X-axis linear motor, twin stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and facial recognition are all included.
