Users of Snapchat on Android and iOS may now share videos directly from the YouTube app. The upgrade is intended to make it easier to share YouTube videos on Snapchat by eliminating the need for users to manually copy and paste video URLs within the content. Through the Snapchat Camera, YouTube videos may be instantly uploaded to Stories and individual Snaps. Creators who post new films on YouTube will be able to garner more attention from Snapchat users thanks to a new experience that is being rolled out internationally.

When a video from YouTube is shared, it may be seen on the Snapchat Story or Snap by touching the YouTube sticker. It will lead visitors to the YouTube app on their device or their favourite mobile browser.

How to share YouTube videos on Snapchat

With Snapchat's most recent update, you can now share your favourite YouTube videos on the Snapchat app by following the instructions below:

  • Launch the YouTube app and choose a video to watch.
  • Tap Share, then choose the Snapchat symbol from the selection that appears. This will open the Snapchat Camera.
  • The video will now display on your original Snap as an automatic YouTube sticker. You may also apply effects and filters using the provided creative tools.
  • When you're finished, hit the Camera button to save your Snap.
Previously, Snapchat users could share YouTube video URLs after taking their Snaps. Users have to manually enter the video links after copying them from YouTube.

The latest connection would be quite useful for Snapchat users who want to upload vertical videos — particularly YouTube Shorts — that match their Snaps and Stories on the app.
