New software upgrades for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will no longer be released. The 2018 flagship range has been removed from the list of devices eligible for future upgrades. Previously, the duo's update frequency was reduced to quarterly. The Galaxy M62, on the other hand, is currently receiving the One UI 4.1 upgrade, which is based on Android 12. This update is apparently only being handed out in a few countries, including Brazil, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Galaxy S9 series last received a major update in 2020, when the handsets received the Android 10-based One UI 2.5. South Korean IT behemoths have now shifted the Galaxy S10 series to a quarterly upgrade cycle.
In related news, SamMobile reports that the Galaxy M62 smartphone will receive the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 overlay. According to reports, the update is now accessible for customers in Brazil, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
