The newest April 2022 Android security patch has apparently begun to be sent to the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 range. The update is supposed to increase stability and repair bugs. In several African and Asian areas, eligible Samsung Galaxy S22-series smartphones equipped with Snapdragon processors are already receiving the update. The upgrade for the Galaxy S21 series is rumoured to be making its way to Germany. Samsung released the Galaxy S22 series in February of this year, with the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 operating system. The Samsung Galaxy S21 was announced in January 2021 with an Android 11-based One UI, and the phones received Android 12 later that year.

The update for the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xEXXU1AVCJ and brings the April 2022 Android security patch to handsets in Afghanistan, Egypt, India, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Philippines, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, and Vietnam, according to SamMobile. It is estimated to be roughly 1.5GB in size.
The newest security update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is apparently G99xxXXS4CVCG, and it includes the April 2022 security patch. The update is presently being rolled out in Germany for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra handsets. General bug fixes and stability enhancements are stated to be included in the upgrades for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series.
The new update will be instantly downloaded to eligible Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series handsets. Users may also check for updates manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
