According to user reports on social media sites, Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds Live users are getting a new software update that adds some new functions to the earbuds, including the 360 Audio capability. Samsung's function provides 360-degree audio via earphones. It operates similarly to Apple's spatial audio in that it follows the user's head motions to make it appear as though the sound is coming from the screen by adjusting the left and right sound levels of the earphones. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro already have 360 Audio support. The update also includes enhancements to improve call quality and Bluetooth connectivity for Galaxy Buds 2.

According to user reports on Twitter and Reddit, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 earbuds have received a firmware update with the version number R177XXU0AVC8. In the changelog, the update claims 360 Audio compatibility and Bluetooth enhancements. Improvements to call quality and general stability are also included. The update is believed to be 3MB in size. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are also said to be receiving an upgrade with software build number R180XXU0AVC2, which has similar capabilities.

360 Audio, as previously stated, provides three-dimensional surround sound. It tracks the user's head motions to make it appear as though the sound is coming from the screen. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro were the first Samsung earbuds that include 360-degree audio.

Eligible Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds Live earphones will immediately obtain the newest update. Users may also check for updates manually by connecting the audio devices with the Galaxy Wearable app and going to Earbuds settings >Earbuds software update>Download and install.

To remember, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 were released in India in September of last year for Rs. 11,999. They are available in the colours Graphite, Lavender, Olive Green, and White. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live TWS earbuds were released in 2020 and cost $169.99. (approximately Rs. 12,700).
