On Wednesday, the Realme Q5 and Realme Q5 Pro were released in China. The latest additions to the company's Q-series range feature Snapdragon processors, triple back cameras, and 5,000mAh batteries with rapid charging capability. The Realme Q5 has a 6.6-inch LCD display, whilst the Realme Q5 Pro has a 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED display. Both phones ship with the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to divulge plans for the devices to be released in additional regions, including India.

Realme Q5, Realme Q5 Pro price, availability

The Realme Q5 begins at CNY 1,399 (about Rs. 16,600) for the 6GB + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 1,599 for the 8GB + 128GB model (roughly Rs. 18,900). The phone will also be available in an 8GB + 256GB storage model for CNY 1,799 (about $1,799). (roughly Rs. 21,200). The smartphone is available in three color variants, according to the company's website: Glacier Chopping Waves (translated), Phantom, and Racing Dusk. On April 27, it will be available for purchase in China through the Realme website.

Meanwhile, the Realme Q5 Pro is priced at CNY 1,799 (about Rs. 21,200) for the 6GB + 128GB storage model, and CNY 1,999 for the 8GB + 128GB edition (roughly Rs. 23,700). Customers can also get an 8GB + 256GB model for CNY 2,199. (roughly Rs. 26,000). It will be available in three colors: Phantom, Snow Drift, and Summer Engine. According to Realme, the Realme Q5 Pro will be available for purchase on the company's website on April 27.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Realme Q5 runs Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 and has a 6.6-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,412 pixel) LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM.


The Realme Q5 has a triple rear camera arrangement for images and videos, which includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture lens, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. The Realme Q5 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front with an f/2.05 aperture lens for selfies and video chats.

The Realme Q5 has an internal storage capacity of up to 256GB, which can be increased through a dedicated microSD card slot. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone port are among the connectivity choices. An accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric verification are among the sensors on board. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 60W rapid charging. The Realme Q5 is 164.3x75.6x8.5mm in size and weighs 195 grams.

Meanwhile, the Realme Q5 Pro is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs Realme UI 3.0, which is based on Android 12. It has a 6.62-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixel) E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The Realme Q5 Pro is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 870 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM.

The Realme Q5 Pro has a triple rear camera arrangement that includes a 64-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.79 aperture lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter with an f/2.25 aperture lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. It has a front-facing 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.45 aperture lens for selfies.
