OPPO said earlier this month which OPPO phones will receive the ColorOS 12 upgrade based on Android 12 in April. The ColorOS 12 beta program for various new devices has been launched, as promised.
ColorOS 12 beta
Owners of the OPPO F19, F17, A73, and A53 are invited to test a beta release of ColorOS 12 based on Android 12. This is a closed beta test with a restricted number of seats (5000 testers for each device), and it is exclusively available to Indian consumers. In the following weeks, OPPO will most likely launch similar beta programs in other locations.
To become a beta tester, go to Settings > Software Update and press the gear symbol. On the following screen, click "Apply for Beta Version"> Update Beta Version, and then follow the on-screen steps to apply. When your application is accepted, you will receive the upgraded software through OTA update. OPPO has not yet specified a timetable for the steady deployment. In any event, we don't anticipate the public release to happen anytime soon. Check out the official announcement thread via the links below for further information:
The OPPO Reno Z 5G has begun to receive the stable ColorOS 12 upgrade, which is based on Android 12. The upgrade is presently being rolled out in Thailand and the Philippines, with the rest of the world to follow in the following weeks. Keep a watch out for the OTA in the next days if you live in these countries. According to OPPO, you can also initiate the upgrade by going to Settings > Software update > Trial version and pressing "Apply now."
In the next weeks, OPPO will release ColorOS 12 for many new phones, including the OPPO Reno 3 Pro, Reno 7 5G, Reno 10X Zoom, and OPPO A76.
