The OnePlus 10 Pro was just introduced outside of China, and it, like other recent OnePlus devices, is Verizon-certified. However, the phone was still unable to connect to Verizon's 5G services, which has now been resolved — just in time for the OnePlus 10 Pro's release date in the US.
This includes access to Verizon's C-Band 5G, which launched in the United States in January and delivers faster speeds (equivalent to T-mid-band Mobile's 5G). That's great news for anyone who lives in a Verizon C-Band 5G coverage region, but it's not accessible on all plans. To access C-Band, Verizon customers must be on a "5G Get More," "5G Play More," or "5G Do More" plan – the lowest "5G Start" cellular plan is excluded.
The OnePlus 10 Pro's main drawback is that it does not support Verizon's millimeter wave 5G (also known as mmWave), however this will impact nearly no one. According to an OpenSignal study from October 2021, Verizon customers are only connected to mmWave 0.5 percent of the time they use their phones, because mmWave is a short-range technology and Verizon hasn't rolled it out to many locations. Given how few people live near mmWave towers, the absence of support isn't a big deal.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, 65W fast charging (down from 80W charging in China), triple rear cameras, a smooth 120Hz screen, and a 5,000mAh battery. It's an excellent phone, but it has some performance throttling concerns for the time being, and the ultra-wide camera isn't the greatest in the business.
