The Moto G22 will be available in India on April 8. Motorola has confirmed that the new Moto G-series smartphone will be available in India via Flipkart. A separate webpage on the e-commerce website is teasing the Moto G22's specs ahead of its introduction. According to the website, the Moto G22 India edition would include a quad rear camera set led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The MediaTek Helio G37 SoC will power the device. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 90Hz refresh rate display, and a 5,000mAh battery. Motorola first released the Moto G22 in the European market in March.
Flipkart teased the Moto G22's India debut with a customised landing page on its website. According to the teaser, the smartphone will be available in the nation on April 8. However, the date and timing of the launch event, as well as the smartphone's cost in India, are currently unclear.
To remember, the Moto G22 was released in European regions at a price of EUR 169.99 (about Rs. 14,270) for the lone 4GB + 64GB storage configuration. It is available in Cosmic Black, Iceberg Blue, and Pearl White.
Moto G22 specifications
The Indian model of the Moto G22 will most likely feature the same characteristics as the European variant. According to the Flipkart listing, the dual-SIM Moto G22 will run Android 12. It will have an IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 SoC with 4GB of RAM.
In terms of optics, the Moto G22 will include a quad rear camera arrangement led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. A 16-megapixel sensor will be available for selfies. The Moto G22 will include 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be upgraded with a microSD card (up to 1TB). It will, as previously said, include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock function for authentication. The listing also hints that the handset will be water-resistant. Additionally, the Moto G22 will include a 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower fast charging capabilities.
