MIUI 13.5 will be released following MIUI 13. Have you ever wondered what MIUI 13.5 Eligible Devices are? This update will be available to all Android 12 devices. Bad news for smartphone owners whose handsets were most recently upgraded to Android 11! We regret to tell you that Xiaomi will not be releasing the MIUI 13.5 update for these devices. The company has chosen to discontinue support for Android 11 smartphones and will instead focus on newer models.

MIUI 13.5 Ineligible Devices

The devices that will not receive the latest MIUI 13.5 update are listed below in the MIUI 13.5 Ineligible Devices section. If your device is not listed as MIUI 13.5 Eligible Devices yet is present here, it will not receive the MIUI 13.5 Update. And only the Mi 9 Pro and Redmi Note 8 will receive MIUI 13:

  • Mi 9 / 9 SE / 9 Lite / 9 Pro
  • Mi 9T / Mi 9T Pro
  • Mi CC9 / Mi CC9 Meitu
  • Redmi K20 / K20 Pro / K20 Pro Premium
  • Redmi Note 8 / Note 8T / Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi 9A / 9AT / 9i / 9C
  • POCO C3 / C31

While it is heartbreaking to see these devices no longer receiving official updates, it was their time to depart. As with new MIUI skin updates, the operating system becomes more and more dependent on the Android version, and because these devices run the old Android version, 11, it becomes more difficult to adapt new features to this old Android foundation, which is why support was withdrawn.
