Micromax has already launched the In Note 2 and In 2b budget smartphones in India, and it is now preparing for the other phones in the In 2-series. Aside from the devices that have already been released, the series is expected to include the In 2 and In 2c. The latter's launch date has now been revealed by tipper Abhishek Yadav.
The Micromax In 2c is expected to be released in the Indian market by the end of April or early May 2022. The device will be available in the low-cost segment and will be powered by a UNISOC chipset.
Previously, the smartphone was discovered on Geekbench. According to the listing, the smartphone has 347 points in the single-core category and 1127 points in the multi-core category. It uses the UNISOC T610 octa-core chipset, which clocks all eight cores at 1.82GHz. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and the Android 11 operating system out of the box.
In addition, the device has been added to the list of Google Play-supported devices. While the listing did not reveal any specifics, we did learn that the launch is in the works. Now that the phone's rumored release date is just a few weeks away, we expect the company to begin the phone's marketing campaign with a series of teasers.
The Micromax In 2c is expected to be priced in the sub-Rs. 10,000 ($131) range in the country. We could see it being released in a variety of colors, similar to its sibling In 2b.
