  • Users on Facebook may customise Reels with AR effects and music.
  • A Share to Facebook Reels button will be added to third-party apps.
  • Non-meta applications can now add a Reels button to their app thanks to the upgrade.
To give additional creative choices for the Reels experience, Facebook is adding a 'Sharing to Reels' tool. Users may now post movies straight from third-party applications to their Facebook accounts thanks to the new feature. Instead of downloading and uploading video footage from non-Meta applications later, users may make short movies on integrated third-party apps and share Reels clips immediately from the apps with the push of a button. The first platforms to include the Sharing to Reels feature in their apps are music apps Smule and video editing apps Vita and VivaVideo. This new development comes just a few weeks after Facebook began rolling out Reels to all users worldwide.

Meta announced the implementation of a new Sharing to Reels function in a blog post on Tuesday. With the new Reels button on the applications, users of third-party apps may now publish short-form films straight to Facebook Reels. They may also personalise their Reels editing tools with audio, text, effects, subtitles, and stickers. When someone uploads their reel from a third-party app to Facebook, viewers may watch it, like it, comment on it, and share it with others.

As previously stated, Meta has also announced additional integrations for the Sharing to Reels capability with the Karaoke app Smule and the video editing applications Vita and VivaVideo. These applications will now include Share to Facebook Reels functionality. Developers who want to include the button into their apps may find out more on Meta's developer page.

Facebook is rapidly extending its most rapidly increasing content type. The social media network has expanded the availability of its short video feature Reels to more than 150 countries, with a new Reels display at the top of user feeds. New Reels may be found under the Watch tab, Stories, and Groups. Audio, AR effects, and captions with hashtags or tags for other accounts are all part of the service.

Meta debuted Reels on Instagram in 2020, followed by Facebook in 2021. The function was created in reaction to TikTok, the massively popular short-video app.
