HONOR announced today that its new Play6T phone series will be available on April 7th.
The front of the HONOR Play6T Pro will have a straight screen with a punch-hole for the selfie camera, according to its filing with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The phone's corners will be flat, and it will have a 3.5mm headphone jack. A squarish camera module at the back houses a dual-lens configuration – a 48MP main camera combined with a 2MP macro lens. A selfie camera with an 8MP resolution is located on the front of the device.
The phone is 7.45mm thick and weighs 175g, and its display is a 6.7-inch 120Hz LCD panel with a resolution of 23881080. Its 4000mAh built-in battery enables 40W wired rapid charging.
The Honor Play6T Pro will be available in 8+128GB and 8+256GB configurations. It's unclear what CPU the phone will have - some believe it'll be the Snapdragon 680, while others say it'll be the Dimensity 900. Some even speculate that it will be the Dimensity 8100, which feels a little too high-end for the smartphone.
The series appears to be divided into two models: the HONOR Play6T Pro and the HONOR Play6T. As is customary, both will be released in China initially, with a worldwide release coming later, should HONOR decides to make them accessible globally.
