Google Lens now offers more functionality in the desktop version of Chrome, according to Google. It can now perform more than just standard picture searches. In addition to the Search option, it also includes Text, Translate, and Find picture source functions. These and other choices have been accessible on the Google app for cellphones for quite some time. It is unknown when Google released this update. The new Chrome tools are now widely accessible for Windows, Chrome OS, and Mac.
On the desktop version of Chrome, the Google Lens search result page now includes three additional options. The Text tool recognizes text in images automatically and allows you to choose any quantity of text. The selected text can then be copied or listened to. It may also be used to launch another Google search or opened individually on the Google Translate website. There's also a Translate tool that exposes a UI identical to the mobile app. Google Lens is built to recognize the language automatically. You can, however, manually pick the language pairings.
When you use the Find picture source feature, you will be sent to Google Images. This option is said to have been added to address the issue produced by completely replacing the Image Search option with Google Lens. This application allows you to search for results by uploading a picture or screenshot of a webpage to Google Images. A previous rumor also hinted to the addition of the Google Lens functionality to the Google Search homepage for Chrome on desktops. The Lens symbol was allegedly discovered when browsing google.com in Incognito Mode on Chrome. The spotted symbol was identical to the present Google Lens icon that displays in the Android Search bar.
