  • In fiscal year 2022, Dell expanded by 64% year on year (YoY) in India.
  • In Q4 2021, the firm announced 61 percent YoY growth. On a worldwide scale, Dell's sales climbed 17 percent year on year.

Dell Technologies India reported a record yearly business increase of 64% in the fiscal year ending December 2021, according to a senior company executive on Tuesday. According to Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director of the company, demand velocity illustrates how organisations continue to prioritise digital transformation to satisfy consumer expectations and increase efficiency.

"Dell Technologies India gained 64% year on year (YoY) in FY'22, a record year for the India business with back-to-back record quarters. In the fourth quarter of 2021, we registered 61 percent year-on-year increase "He revealed this to PTI.

He did not, however, reveal the precise statistics, only the percentage of growth.
The company's fiscal year runs from January to December.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, India's conventional PC industry, which includes desktops, notebooks, and workstations, had a successful year in 2021, with shipment increase of 44.5 percent year on year (YoY).

According to the research, Dell shipments volume in India increased by 31.7 percent in the December 2021 quarter and by 47 percent for the entire year of 2021.

Dell's global sales climbed 17 percent year on year to $101.2 billion (about Rs. 7,62,000 crore), driven by continuing growth across all business divisions and record PC shipments.

The client solutions segment, which deals in business PCs, laptops, and desktops, increased by 27% year on year to USD 61.5 billion (roughly Rs. 4,63,110 crore).

"With the present circumstances, work and learning from anywhere will be the new reality, and we are developing future technological ecosystems to provide more connected and productive experiences. This includes enabling network infrastructure for 5G and the data era, incorporating intelligent, automated security solutions that extend everywhere consumer data moves, and prioritising cloud and Software-as-a-Service consumption models "Ohrie stated.

With the vast quantity of data collected, he stated that cybersecurity would be a primary priority area, and it is equally necessary to maintain them secure and resistant to cyberattacks.

"To allow end-to-end, contemporary IT systems for the future, Dell is focusing on critical six crucial technologies such as multi-cloud, edge, 5G, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data management, and cyber security."

"Aside from these, other consumption models – such as Flex On Demand, Dell Tech On Demand, and Project APEX – will further assist us (and our partners) in meeting customer expectations and successfully addressing their requests," Ohrie stated.
