Apple has released a minor update to its iWork suite of apps, which includes Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.

Pages, Apple's word editing program, can now publish files up to 2GB in size directly to Apple Books. Users will also have additional choices for inserting page numbers and changing the font size.

On iOS, the Pages app adds new fast start actions from the app icon. To create a new document from the home screen, long press on the icon.

Numbers, a spreadsheet program, has been upgraded with the ability to take photographs of table cells that do not include formulae, categories, or hidden values. There is also the option to change the text size to two decimal places.

VoiceOver controls have been added to both Numbers and Pages. Pages can read comments and monitor changes, whereas Numbers can use the accessibility function to write formulae and fill cells.

Keynote now includes the capability of enlarging slides to a maximum zoom level of 400%. The option to fine-tune font sizes has also been introduced.

On macOS, all three applications now support Shortcuts. Users may now create new Numbers, Pages, or Keynote documents, add rows to a Numbers spreadsheet, and launch a Keynote presentation using the new Shortcut actions.

Apple's iWork programs will automatically upgrade to version 12.0, or users can visit the App Store and compel the update to happen immediately. Apple offers Pages, Keynote, and Numbers as free pre-installed applications with every iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
