According to a leaked support document discovered by 9to5Mac, Apple may be preparing to release a two-port 35W USB-C charger in the near future. The support page was supposedly only available on Apple's website for a short period, but it made explicit mention of the unannounced charger.

There is currently no twin USB-C port power converter available, although it is possible that Apple is working on one. 35W would be enough to charge or power a variety of Apple gadgets, including the MacBook Air, iPads, iPhones, Apple Watch, and the HomePod. It would be powerful enough to support rapid charging for the iPhone and iPad.

The following modes will be supported by the power adapter: 5VDC/3A, 9VDC/3A, 15VDC/2.33A, or 20VDC/1.75A, with a total charging power of 35W, not 35W for each USB-C connector.

To charge your smartphone, use the Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter and a USB-C cable (not supplied). Connect a USB-C cable to either port on the power adapter, then extend the electrical prongs (if necessary) and firmly insert the power adapter into the power outlet. Make certain that the power outlet is conveniently accessible for unplugging. Connect the cable's opposite end to your device.

There is no news on when this item will be available, but it might be the GaN power adapter that Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed in early March. According to Kuo, Apple is working on a "30W power adaptor" with a new form factor design, which the firm plans to release at some point.

He stated that the charger will employ gallium nitride, or "GaN," technology, which will allow for a smaller, lighter form factor due to greater power efficiency. Apple's first GaN charger (140W) was released alongside the MacBook Pro last year.

Other accessory manufacturers, including as Anker and Belkin, have been producing GaN chargers for some time, and also provide a variety of multi-port alternatives.
