Xiaomi announced three flagship phones in December of last year, the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12X, while leaving a fourth 'Ultra' model unannounced. While the phone hasn't been formally teased, various leaks have given us a glimpse of what to expect. The phone was rumoured to be released in the first quarter of 2021, but that appears to have been postponed.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station (via IT Home), an engineering version of the gadget was observed in January using the normal Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, most likely for testing purposes. However, Xiaomi appears to be planning to release the 12 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, which has caused the device to be delayed. It's possible that the corporation is having difficulty obtaining enough stock of the future processor.

According to previous leaks, the rear camera module of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to adopt a circular shape and will sit in the center of a large section that will span almost the entire top half of the phone. Just take a look at the image below to get an idea.

The camera module itself will most likely house three lenses — a main camera at the center, a periscope telephoto camera, and finally an ultrawide-angle snapper.

The display is expected to be a 2K OLED display from Samsung. The battery is expected to be sized 4860mAh with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
