Xiaomi Phones: Are They Better Than iPhones?

There has been a long-running battle between Android phones like Xiaomi's and Samsung's and iOS phones to determine which is superior. Samsung was and continues to be one of the most popular Android brands, but it just joined a new brand, Xiaomi, that has shown to be a game changer. It has greatly outperformed Apple phones in terms of battery life, performance, and photography. Which is the superior option? Well, that's a bit difficult, so let's simplify it.

Xiaomi vs Apple

Battery Life

Xiaomi offers us many phones with long lasting batteries from mid-rangers to high-ends. Compared to Apple devices, we do not always see that this is the case. It has certain devices with good battery lives, some on the high-end on the spectrum but it is still not many in the quantity and certainly not the greatest rivals for Xiaomi.

Display

Apple has an advantage over Xiaomi because of its AMOLED panels, which save batteries on dark backgrounds and provide considerably more eye-pleasing vibrant colours. However, Xiaomi eventually began producing smartphones with AMOLED displays, closing the gap once and for all while maintaining low costs.

Price

Xiaomi is, without a question, the clear winner. Apple devices, as we all know, are highly pricey, with the pricing based on the luxury feel and reputation. If you're looking for a phone focused on price, Apple isn't the best option. Xiaomi phones also provide comparable or better performance at lesser pricing.

Operating System

In terms of system performance, Apple's iOS operating system has a distinct advantage over Android, as it has always been the leader in terms of smoothness, despite Android being considerably more streamlined. Android devices, on the other hand, have gotten increasingly smooth with recent upgrades, approaching iOS in terms of performance. When compared to Android, one of the most significant disadvantages of iOS is its lack of flexibility. Customization possibilities are limited, jailbreaking is difficult, app support is also limited, and general usage is restricted.

Camera

We don't think it's fair to say one is better than the other in terms of camera performance because there are fantastic devices on both ends that can outperform the other. If you're looking for photography performance, both Xiaomi and Apple phones have excellent possibilities. Because Xiaomi phones run on Android, they come with support for Google Camera, often known as GCam, which increases camera quality and gives you a lot of options for adjusting your shooting settings.

CPU and GPU Performance

Apple's latest processor, the A13 Bionic, is now weaker than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888, putting Apple at a disadvantage in terms of CPU and GPU performance for the time being. This isn't to suggest that Apple isn't and never will be better than Xiaomi or any other Android handset. Power dynamics change all the time; Apple may release a superior CPU that outperforms the competition, and Xiaomi or any other brand might do the same. Because this is essentially a competition with no apparent winner until one of the competitors gives up, you can choose either brand for CPU and GPU performance.

Features

IOS has a lot of functionality, such as text chatting over the internet via Apple ID or Memojis, but Xiaomi isn't far behind. Xiaomi has repeatedly cloned Apple, and while this copying is perceived negatively by some, the beneficial effect is that we receive a lot of features without having to buy an unreasonably expensive brand. With a superb battery life, price range, performance, and camera quality, Xiaomi offers us much more than Apple does.
