The Xiaomi MIX 5 will be the Chinese tech giant's next flagship product. The leaks of the smartphone have been inconsistent recently, and the only news we've heard about the series recently was for the Mix Fold 2. Nonetheless, the Xiaomi MIX 5 has made headlines again, this time after passing the Geekbench certification, showing its performance ahead of launch.

The Xiaomi MIX 5 has been certified by Geekbench with model number 2203121C. The gadget receives 1,257 points in the single-core category and 3,456 points in the multi-core category. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC within the phone runs at a base frequency of 1.78GHz. It is an octa-core chipset with four cores clocked at 1.79GHz and the remaining three cores clocked at 1.6GHz.

The smartphone boasts 12GB of RAM and runs the newest Android 12 operating system. We anticipate that the phone will offer several RAM and storage choices, as well as MIUI 13 on top of the Android OS.

Xiaomi MIX 5 and MIX 5 Pro Specifications(Rumored)

Previously, it was revealed that the Xiaomi MIX 5 will have upgraded cameras. It might have sensors driven by Leica. The smartphone is said to include a 48MP front-facing camera. It will be equipped with a 50MP OIS lens, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.

Other facts about the MIX 5 are unknown. But we do know that the MIX 5 will be joined by the MIX 5 Pro. Surge C2 chipset is speculated to be used in the Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro.

Surge, for those who are unfamiliar, is the company's self-developed processor that aids the phone's photography performance. The Surge C1, which was shown in the MIX Fold, was the last chip. A successor chip in the MIX 5 Pro will be a welcome addition to the MIX family.

In terms of improvements, the MIX 5 Pro is likely to include the same 48MP front-facing camera as the standard MIX 5. It is said to contain a 50MP OIS primary lens with a resolution of 8192 x 6144 pixels. It will be supported by a 48MP ultra-wide sensor and a 48MP OIS telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. This camera combination is marginally better than the vanilla MIX 5 with OIS.
