WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has recently been experimenting with new features. In order to catch up with Telegram, the firm has tried various new features in recent months. Rich document previews were recently introduced to the app, as well as the option to pause/resume recording a voice note. Simultaneously, WhatsApp is testing a new group feature that will allow users to conduct polls within WhatsApp groups.
According to WABetainfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow you to establish polls in group chats to swiftly poll group members.
According to a screenshot published by the magazine, WhatsApp prompts the user to enter their poll question.
The user will likely be able to list alternatives or choices for group members to vote on on the next screen. The poll feature is currently in its early stages of development and is not yet available in WhatsApp. Polls, according to WABetainfo, will be available only in WhatsApp groups and would be end-to-end encrypted. Since Telegram users have been able to construct polls since 2018, WhatsApp is once again playing catch-up in this area.
Furthermore, WhatsApp is testing a separate "Community" page to help you keep track of the groups and communities you're a part of. The present Community tab will be replaced with the new Community tab.
The option to generate polls and the dedicated Community page are still in the works and have not yet been made available to users. We'll keep an eye out and notify you if any of these features become available in the WhatsApp beta version.
