Following the release of the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.7.0.76 update, which includes support for iOS 15, WhatsApp is now launching a test in Argentina that allows users to send media files up to 2GB in size!
With the addition of new features, WhatsApp is growing in popularity. Following the release of message reactions to a small number of beta testers, WhatsApp is now releasing another essential feature.
Let's get started with the feature. As you are aware, it is currently not allowed to transfer media files greater than 100MB due to the existing limit:
But there is some good news: WhatsApp has begun a modest test in the last few days, and select users may now exchange media files of up to 2GB! Unfortunately, this is only available in Argentina, and the number of beta testers is restricted. In fact, because this is a test, we don't even know if WhatsApp intends to roll out the same feature to more users in the future. WhatsApp may even reverse the modifications after the test by restoring the prior limit: only time will tell.
Even though these screenshots are from WhatsApp for iOS, the ability to transmit media files up to 2GB is also accessible to some beta testers in Argentina who use WhatsApp beta for Android.
To find out if this option will be extended to more beta testers, keep checking our website to see if there are any new testing in other countries!
