WhatsApp has released a new update via the TestFlight beta programme, bringing the current version to 22.7.0.76. WhatsApp's version is 2.22.7.76, according to the settings.
What's new in this version of the game? WhatsApp is now compatible with iOS 15!
After 6 months since the first release of iOS 15, WhatsApp has finally added compatibility for the new operating system. In actuality, WhatsApp supports several iOS 15 features indirectly, such as the ability to show profile images in alerts for specific people and support for focus mode, but there was no official support. The WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.7.0.76 update is now available, providing official support for the most recent iOS release as well as some UI changes:
If no other UI components are adjacent to the toolbar, as seen in this picture, the toolbar is completely dark, and the same is true for the navigation bar in WhatsApp Settings. In other words, the tone has changed. It's worth noting that the modifications are only evident in iOS 15. Furthermore, more beta testers may eventually receive the functionality that displays profile images in alerts, which was previously pushed out to a select group of individuals.
This is only one of the initial improvements to support iOS 15, and the update also contains further iOS 15 compatibility and bug fixes, but there will be more after a future update. To learn more about iOS 15 compatibility, go here.
